Great book on singing

This book is one of the very few to deal with the development of the head voice. I have an masters degree in voice and have taught at the college level and the techniques in this book are rarely taught or understood by current voice teachers or singers. The goal is to create a voice capable of singing all notes, including high notes, both loud and soft, like the tenors of the past. Also very helpfull for those who have trouble singing high notes, often due to the chest voice being too dominant. The author also writes a very interesting blog about voice. There is a Soprano and Baritone version of the book also.

Great!

This guy knows what he is talking about, altough I don't intend to be an Opera singer, this book has helped me a lot in one month so far that I've been reading it. Not only the excercises are good, what this book also gives you is comprehension of how the singing voice works and it makes you trust in the process of structuring the voice. That way you'll know what you are doing bad and you understand how to overcome the problems , you only need patience and hard work.

It worked for me

I read Anthony Frisell's book on The Tenor Voice, and even though I am a baritone, I followed his recommendations, and it worked for me. Took about two years, and some scary moments along the way, as the musculature in my voice redeveloped, but I can sing now!
I also looked at some online excerpts from The Baritone Voice by the same author, and realized the essential information is the same in both books.
There is also a very informative review of Mr. Frisell's The Soprano Voice on Amazon that you should read if you are interested in any of these books. Soprano Voice
